Fun weekend ahead

Today, Justins parents will get here from Chicago. Thankfully they rented a SUV because it's snowing and I'm sure the interstate is a mess. They stayed with friends in the cities last night so they'll be here around 2 or 3 which will give me plenty time to clean. They are picking up a corner desk for me at Ikea in the cities also. I found the desk while in Renton and I just loved it. The one I have now, is the one I got when I first moved out here for like $50 and it's so tiny, this one will def. be large enough so I can study on it. So anyways back to Justins parents. Now Justin has known for like at least a month to take this weekend off, I did it right away. Well Justin never got around to it so he has to work all weekend. Oh well that means I get spoiled more. His parents are awesome, I'm so lucky to get in-laws that I enjoy being around and our parents love to hang out so it always makes for fun visits. Well back to cleaning!!!

Still in one piece

Well I arrived back home in one, complete piece. I had a great time, sledding was awesome and I only crashed really bad once. The guys I think had a better time wiping out, and they'd take turns driving the snowmobile down to pick up the person and bring them back up to the top. Snowmobiling scares me. I think it's because I didn't grow up with it, but driving around on snow at high speeds does not sound like fun to me. Dustin insisted on driving me around our property a few times and I thought I was going to die. My Mom's bestfriends son lost both legs at the knee because his sled tipped over and crushed his legs. No thank you, I don't want any part of that. Rayna, I'm sorry I didn't take as many pics as I would have liked but I did get a few.
On the way home we saw a horrible accident. A Jeep Wrangler was smashed and on it's side. It's removable top, and a tire was in the grassy..well actually snowy median that divided the lanes. I just saw on the news that the flipped her car over the grass medium, then over another two lanes of interstate before landing on it's side in the snow on the other side. Don't worry she's ok, she escaped unharmed but is in the hospital for the night. The jeep didn't make it.

Fun with snow

I know I constantly complain about snow, but that's because it's flat out here and all you can do with it is slip and get your feet wet. But today is different, myself, my bro Dustin, his roommate Stephanie and her boyfriend Gabe are all going to my parents house to go sledding on their killer hills. Poor Justin can't go because he has to work. I'm looking forward to this, I've got my clothes all ready as well as post sledding clothes. I'm taking my camera so I can hopefully finish this roll, Rayna I will take pics of the house and some pretty parts of the property for you and post some on here. Oh and also some of this sledding involves being dragged behind a snowmobile on a sled so wish me luck.

Lost

Did anyone watch Lost this week? Was that Claire that came out of the jungle at the last moment? If it was she looked really skinny. My fears is that whoever these other people are, is that they want Claires baby. Also, Justin thinks that Locke's turning crazy, and I think he's one of the more put together people on the island. I also feel bad for Walt. His Mom dies, his Dad who he thought was a deadbeat shows up to take him, the crash on the island, loses his dog, finds dog, gets cornered by a polar bear, loses his dog and his only comic book (en espanol) gets burned. Poor kid. I'm at bit perturbed that next weeks episode is a rerun but it's one that I missed the beginning too, so it's not that big of a disappointment.

I'm almost done with my second week of school now. The class load will definently be as stressful as last year but I still have 2 ten page papers to write. My class schedule is very odd also. I have one, three day a week class, two-two day a week classes and two-one day a week classes. Thankfully, Justin is in all these classes so he keeps me straight on what classes I'm going to that day.

Justin and Dustin save the day!

This morning while I was driving home from work, I started to hear an odd noise coming from my front driver side of the car. It kept going and all my panels in my dashboard said everything was normal so I just kept going at my 60mph pace on the interstate. I got off at my exit and I began to suspect that my tire was flat. Sure enough when I stopped at a light I could smell rubber. By this point I was about a block from my place but I didn't think I should try to make it there because I didn't know if the shape of the tire or my rim so I pulled into the Homedepot parking lot. Thankfully we live right behind the Depot so it was a quick and freezing walk home. Did I mention that it's -10 with wind chill of -35? So I get to the apt thankfully Justin didn't work today so I told him the news and even more thankfully my bro Dustin was also home. We load up in Dustins car and get to my car. Despite the frigid temps they changed the tire and put on my spare in I thought was amazing time, probably 20 min. In payment, Justin and I are taking Dus out to Qudoba for yummy burritos and maybe nachos and dips as well mmmm.

Back from Seattle

Well I am back from Seattle, I've been back for a few days but it's taken me this long to get resettled. Also, Justin and my brother wiped my computer because it was having major issues before I left so it's taken awhile to get this thing up and running.
Seattle was of course awesome. The train ride was great, a lady from Everette sat next to me and we had some fun conversations. Much to Jeni's surprise the train was 20 min early so she really had to book it to make it to the station. It was really great seeing her again, and boy did I miss Seattle and all the glorious green that was everywhere. Out here in North Dakota, everything is brown and dead and ugly. Anyways, so we were going to swing by her apartment and drop my stuff off and get some lunch at my fav restaurant Red Robin when we notice a huge oil stain coming from beneath her car. So her dad came out and looked at the car real quick then they had to drive her car down to the car shop. So much for lunch. So now we had to drive around in her Mom's car till her car is fixed. We drove out to Mercer Island to pick up Jeni's little girl, Emma. I will post pics of her as soon as I can because she was the cutest thing ever. The whole week I was there, there was very little crying or bad tempers, she was the sweetest 6 month old. Emma and I had fun playing and I even got to watch a "first" as Emma rolled over for the first time. That was so exciting, Jeni and I were cheering and clapping and Emma was so happy, just a big smile.
On New Years we went to Jeni's sisters apartment and chilled there. We had some drinks, ate some pizza and played Scatagories until midnight, then we watched the Space Needle fireworks from the balcony.
I got to visit one of my high school buddies, Rayna. I hadn't seen her since basically graduation so I had a blast catching up with her at Starbucks about what's been going on with our lives.
I went in with Jeni to work one day, she works right on the waterfront at Argosy Cruises. So I spent the day at the Seattle Art Museum and in the shops around the waterfront.
On my last evening, Jeni, myself, Kara and their friend Sarena went to my absolute favorite restaurant in down town Seattle, Bucca de Beppos. MMmmm man that place is awesome. It's family style Italian, so everything is made to feed 3-4 people. They do now also have a smaller portions that serve 2-3. Beppos has a great atmosphere, and it's fun and loud. Love it.
I still have like half a roll of film to use up, so I guess I'll be taking lots of pictures of my cat haha. No hopefully I'll get some time to get to Mom and Dads and take some pics of our house and property, they should look really nice with all the snow we have.

P.S: Rayna and Kate, since my computer was wiped I lost my favorites so I lost my links to the both of your blogs. If you could e-mail them to me that would be awsome!
