My visit to the walk in clinic

Today I had the pleasure of going to the walk in clinic here in Fargo for about two hours. Since yesterday, I'd had a sharp pain in the right side of my chest whenever I would breath in deeply. Today it got worse, every breath or movement brought sharps pains and discomfort. Justin called his dad who is a paramedic/firefighter and so I told him what was going on and he thought I have an infection in my lung tissue lining but I don't remember the name, and that I should go into the clinic. So we go to the walk in, and it was quit painful just trying to walk down the hall to the darn clinic. The wait was pretty short, there was a dude in there wearing one of those paper masks, so I made sure to sit away from him.
I got called and Justin came with. I got through all the normal question on allergies, meds with the nurse and I got to put on one of those wonderful robe that are open in the back, but thankfully I only needed my shirt off so I didn't feel so bad.
Then the doc came in and she asked me more questions then poked and prodded around. She said that she was going to need chest x-rays and blood work. Hurray. So a nice looking guy comes in carrying a scary looking box. Blood work time. I have never had blood work before so I had no idea how this would go. He tells me he needs to fill 4 vials for different tests. I was fine up to the forth vial when he started having trouble filling it up. Then I started to get light headed, now I'm not really sure what exactly happens after this but Justin was trying to get me to stay focused then all of a sudden four nurses just appeared and all in this little examination room. They hauled me up from my seat and got me to lay down on the little bed thing, lowered my head, elevated my feet and tried had me wiggle my toes because my cirulation needed a boost. The nurses said I was super pale, but I suppose that's what happens when one almost passes out. Justin said that my eyes were rolling back when getting that last blood drawn.
Well after that whole exciting ordeal. The x-ray guy came in and asked if I was feeling well enough to take a couple x-rays. So we went and took the few x-rays and that went fine. But too and from the x-ray room, I think I ran into each nurse that came in while I was on the verge of passing out. They all had to ask how I was feeling, which, I know is very nice of them but was kinda embarrassing.
The doctor comes back in and says "So I heard you had an exciting time during bloodwork." ha ha. Anyways, I have nothing real serious, it's what Justins dad guessed I have an infection in my lung tissue. But all I have to take is some ibprofen or alieve. I got home and I slept for like two hours, I was exhausted.

Lost

Please Read if you have not yet seen the show!!! Well just this paragraph anyways..I need to confirm something I saw. When Jin is in a flashback and he is at the Environmentalist guys house, his daughter is watching TV. Look at the screen, tell me who you see. Ok you can stop reading now.
************************************************************************************

Wow well this was a messed up show. Jin turns out to be a good guy not knowing how to tell his wife her Dad's a muderous jack ass so he just ends up pulling away from her. Michaels raft was looking in pretty good shape, not really surprised that Saywer bought his way on but I guess if that's what it takes to survive...
Too bad that the raft burned, I'm really surprised that it was Walt, I just assumed it was the "island people" that we don't know about, well except Ethan but he's kinda dead.
I really hope someone else saw Hurley on the television at the environmentalists house. Wow, I wonder what that was all about. Well next week is supposedly his flashback episode, I'm really looking forward to that one. Plus the stuff going on at the island looks pretty exciting.

Granite lions from ancient culture, uncovered by tsunami in Southern India.  Posted by Hello

Tsunami uncovers ancient ruins

In the wake of the horrific tsunami that tore through India and surrounding countries, at least one cool thing has happened because of it. The receding waters stripped away amazing amount of sand on beaches and have uncovered ancient ruins. The remains may have been once apart of a sea port that flourished there. Granite lions carved out a single piece of granite, and other structures are being studies all along coastlines. Villagers even reported seeing even more structures, including a partial temple out in the shoreline when the water was pulling back before the waves hit. It will be interesting to see what they will discover.

Lost

Disclaimer: Do not read unless you want to know what happens in tonight's episode of Lost.

alright, well first off for some reason both Justin and I thought this episode was kinda boring. This I find odd, because I have enjoyed everyone else's background stories. I did enjoy the whole thing with the boar, I have no idea if it was suppose to symbolize anything, Locke alludes that it does. I did not understand what this man that Sawyer was hunting down had to do with his mom and dad, it was all said pretty fast so I missed it. Plus, now Saywer is hearing the whispers in the jungle too, not good.
Thankfully, we were right on our assumptions that the commercials were hyped to make it sound like Kate and Sawyer hook up. I am so glad that nothing of the sort happens. I vaguely remember playing "I never" at a party myself.
The connection between Sawyer and Jack is really interesting, I wonder why Sawyer didn't tell him that he met his dad. Well I suppose it will come out eventually.
Next weeks looks interesting, looks like someone dies again. Did I hear the kids Dad say the raft was only built for 4?

Valentines Day

Happy Valentines to everybody. Justin and I went to the movies and saw Hitch with Will Smith. I highly recommend it, it's a fun love story. Yes, you know how it's going to end, but it was very funny and sweet. Justin bought me the movie The Notebook, I've heard it's another great love story so I can't wait to sit down and watch it. Well I'm really tired and that's all I have to say..I hope everyone had a good day.

Lost

I just finished watching Lost, so I thought I should write about it while it's still fresh in my mind.

Is any one else glad that Charlie shot Ethan? I know why everyone else wanted him alive, but honestly he wouldn't have said zip.
Any ideas as to why Claire can't remember a thing? Is it just the shock of everthing that happened? Or did Ethan/the power of the island have something to do with it?
They seriously need to show some of the other people who survived the crash, cause I didn't know the guy that died. I suppose it's so it wouldn't affect the story, but really, poor guy, they didn't even call him by the right name when he was alive.
It was nice to finally get some back story on Charlie. Poor druggie Charlie, just wanted to get out of that life and become respectable. I suppose that why he's so attached to Claire, he finally gets a chance to take care of somebody.
I know from Justin's fav web-site, that next weeks episode is about Sawyer and Jacks connection which they kinda hint to in the preview. Also in three episodes, is a show about Hurley. About time too, cause we don't know anything about him. Justin spoiled to me what the episode is about (unbelievable) but don't worry I won't say. If you want to know go to www.darkhorizons.com.

Rent, Muggles and W. oh my!

Last night I saw the Broadway musical Rent, at the Fargo Dome. Now I'm not really sure why I never mentioned it before, since I've known about it for like 5 months but anyways.. Rent was amazing like usual, this time I had the soundtrack memorized so I could sing along. Ok I wasn't singing I was moving my lips. It was fabulous to see it again. We were on the floor close to the stage so we could see everything really well. Angel of course was just amazing, I love his outfits. Two hours of Broadway bliss.... it was awesome!
In the parking lot of the dome I noticed at mini-van and it had personalized plates the said "Muggles," now I just thought that was so cool. I just wish I could have seen the people driving the van. I would have never thought of that, but I'm not sure I want to appear that obsessive about something. Sure my car is named after a dinosaur..but it's a little more subtle.
In efforts to push his new social security plan Pres. Bush was in town this morning, and on our campus no less. Thank goodness we don't have class at NDSU on Thursdays. Of course all major roads that the motorcade might ever travel on was shut down. Again thankfully, we were no where near these roads. This is such a red state, 7000+ tickets sold out in 90 min. Unbelievable. Also the Fargo Forum got ahold of a list of 40+ people that were not allowed to purchase tickets to watch the speech. Some of these people had written anti-bush or pro-gay opinions. Two were high school students who are on democrat-type e-mail lists. I was just amazed when I heard this. So much for democracy.

The Grudge

Well, I just mistakenly watched The Grudge starring Sarah Michelle Geller. Now, this movie is rated PG-13 so I thought I'd be ok. When I watched Dawn of the Dead I had zombie dreams for like 2 nights straight. I don't think I'll be sleeping tonight.

In-laws and Ikea instructions

Justins parents left yesterday morning at the same time we were leaving for class. We had a good time together this weekend. Lets see, the arrived on Friday around 3 despite the nasty driving conditions. They said from Alexandria to about Fergus Falls they saw 40 cars in the ditch and a tipped over semi that was about 100 feet off the interstate. We just hung about the apartment and went out to eat at Old Chicago. Saturday, Justin had to work until 3. Dana was invited by Dad to go the dogsled races that dad helps his brother compete in. So that just left Debbi and I to out favorite pastime..shopping! We picked Justin up at work during his lunch break and we went to Qudoba, yummy! Debbi and I then went to Gordmans were I got a cute pair of Sketchers and an Ansel Adams poster to put above our bed. Then I took her downtown to my favorite coffee shop, Babbs. I love it so because it's a Seattle theme with a huge mural of the Farmers Market sign on the wall across from the counter. They also display local artists work for sale and have live music during the evenings. We had such a good time there talking.
Justin called around 1 to say they let him go home early. We went home and Dana soon came home and told us about the races. We went to eat at a restaurant in the mall, and went to Herbergers to check out the clothes/shoes. Debbi and I both left with a pair of shoes.
Sunday, justin worked until 5. Debbi, Dana and I went antique shopping, we all found something we wanted but of course everything we wanted was very expensive.
All the while this was going on, Justin and I had been working on my desk. Ilove Ikea, but I had forgotten the pain of putting together items with their picture directions. Man, what a pain! Even more annoying, we are two hardware pieces short, so I cannot put up the last shelf. Justin called Ikea and ordered the two pieces and they will here in about a week.
So Dana and Debbi left yesterday morning, they wouldn't let me pay for the desk, which was not my intentions at all plus some money. Well back to the usual school/work life for me.
