Wow what an intense intro. I can't believe that someone is actually Living in the hatch..and Jack knows him. The guys had to have been down there since the early 80's late 70's? when did DOS computers start coming out? I wonder what he was injecting himself with....to keep whatever he is quarantined for under control? Argh, too many questions, too early in the season to know the answers.
Shannon's "vision" of Walt was very creepy, anyone catch what he was saying?
Next week the focus on the boat more, can't wait to see what happens with them! I hope Walt scares the crap out of the "others", make some more polar bears appear or something.
Great premiere, looking forward to screaming at the TV in frustration for the next several months. =)

I think I would've enjoyed it more if I didn't read a spoiler online. But yeah, that was pretty freaky and it raises a lot of questions. Such as: how do they get supplies to the island--eventually some of those light bulbs have got to burn out... And that injection business was something. You think he got out before and killed the French lady's group with his disease? We still can't explain that black smoke coming from the hatch. Wonder if he can control the island from his little computer set up? But here's the thing--he couldn't have been down the hatch since the late '70s, because I don't think Jack is old enough. When that guy met him at the stadium, they had on "modern" clothes. Plus, that would make Jack much older than he looks. Hmm...maybe Desmond caught something somewhere, and had to go down the hatch. So many questions!
PS~ glad to see the new security element.
Yeah I had to add it, I had gotten another spam that was for porn. Yeah the waterproof boots were funny, but this was too gross.
Anyways, Yeah i agree the 70's is too late, I guess all the records threw me off. Plus from reading the TWoP forum, I guess there was a new washer and dryer somewhere.
