Any ideas on the crazy smoke monster thing? That was bizarre, even if thats the islands security system, what in the world could make smoke behave like that.
Echo's story was sad. But they all are. I can't believe that Charlie has that secret stash of herion, I'm glad Claire kicked him out.

Yeah, I can't figure out what that thing is. Did it seem like it was electricity-based? I swear I kept seeing crackly thingies.
Yeah, I felt sorry for Mr. Eko. It really altered my perception of him. Nice how they tied it all back together (the plane from season 1 and Mr. Eko now).
That Charlie is a punk. I was hoping that he was going to set the heroin on fire. But he just added the other statue to the ginormous pile. Sigh. If he's "clean" what's he saving it for?!?
Yes I agree about it seeming to be electrical somehow. I heard on the radio this morning that if you watch the scene where the pan through the smoke frame by frame, you see images from Echo's story. So perhaps this smoke thing brings out peoples pain and old memories??
Charlie may be saving those statues perhaps as a kind of security blanket. I'm sure that since he's saving them, the statues will come into play again in the story. I totally don't blame Claire for kicking him out..I wouldn't want him to start up the drug then go play with Aaron.
Yeah, I think the "others" are behind the contact with Michael as well for the exact same reason that you said. It freaked me out something fierce.
